Online 3D printing

Online 3D printing: send us your STL or 3MF file

To have a part printed online, import your STL or 3MF file into the Studio, choose “Have it printed”, then set the material, quantity, finish and lead time: the price incl. VAT is shown before secure payment and the part is made in our workshop in the Var (France). Most orders ship within 48 to 72 hours, with a 24-hour priority production option.

Which files can you send?

The Studio directly imports STL and 3MF files, up to 850 MB. With a 3MF, every part in the file is kept in place, and colours can be preserved for multicolour printing. An STL carries no colour: for an object in several shades, prefer the 3MF.

No file yet? The same Studio generates a model from a description or from photos (text to 3D, photo to 3D), and the library offers free parametric models whose dimensions you adjust. To check a file before printing, our guide preparing an STL or 3MF file details the points to review: wall thickness, watertight mesh, orientation.

Ordering, step by step

  1. Import the file into the Studio (“Edit an STL” tab), or import it without AI, free of charge.
  2. Check the part in 3D from every angle; if needed, retouch or colourise it with the AI.
  3. Choose “Have it printed”: material, quantity, finish and lead time.
  4. Pay online: the total incl. VAT is calculated automatically, then you pay through Stripe.
  5. Production: your part joins the workshop's print queue with its settings and file, then ships within France.

You keep the right to download your files: printing in our workshop is an option, not an obligation.

Available materials

The workshop prints in multi-material FDM, SLA resin and large format. The materials on offer cover most needs:

MaterialWhat it is for
PLAVisual prototypes, everyday objects, scale models
PETGFunctional parts with better impact and moisture resistance
ABS / ASATechnical parts; ASA withstands UV for outdoor use
TPUFlexible parts: seals, protective covers, bumpers
Nylon CF / PLA CFLight, stiff carbon-fibre-filled parts
Wood / marble PLADecoration and art objects with a natural look
SLA resinFine details and smooth surfaces

More than 50 colours are available, and multicolour printing goes up to 8 colours. To compare properties (strength, temperature, uses), read the guide which material to choose.

Lead times and delivery

Most orders ship within 48 to 72 hours. For urgent needs, a 24-hour priority production option is offered when you choose the lead time. Parts are delivered anywhere in France from the workshop in Seillons-Source-d'Argens, in the Var.

Large parts, up to 60 cm high or wide, and production runs need more machine time: the proposed lead time takes size, material and quantity into account.

How the price is calculated

The price depends on the volume of material, print time, material, finish, lead time and quantity. It is calculated automatically and shown incl. VAT before payment: no quote to wait for on a standard part. Prices are tiered: the more identical parts you order, the lower the unit cost.

To understand what makes the cost vary and how to optimise it (infill, orientation, grouping parts), see our guide how much a 3D print costs.

Why print in a workshop rather than at home?

A personal printer is enough for many PLA parts. A workshop becomes useful when the part exceeds the volume of a desktop machine, calls for a technical material (ASA, carbon-filled nylon, TPU), several colours, a careful finish or a short run delivered by a set date. More than 20 machines run continuously in the workshop, so several parts can be printed in parallel.

  • Large-format parts up to 60 cm
  • Multicolour up to 8 colours
  • Technical materials and resin
  • Short runs at tiered prices

For a part to reproduce without a file, the workshop also offers 3D scanning with an industrial scanner.

Frequently asked questions

Which file formats do you accept for online printing?

The Studio imports STL and 3MF files up to 850 MB. A 3MF keeps the parts and colours; an STL carries no colour.

How much does online 3D printing cost?

The price depends on volume, material, finish, lead time and quantity. It is calculated automatically and shown incl. VAT before payment.

What is the delivery time?

Most orders ship within 48 to 72 hours. A 24-hour priority production option is offered for urgent needs.

What is the maximum print size?

The workshop prints large parts, up to 60 cm high or wide.

Can I order several copies?

Yes. You choose the quantity when ordering, and prices are tiered for identical parts.

I have no 3D file: what can I do?

Generate a model in the AI 3D Studio from a description or photos, adapt a model from the library, or request a 3D scan of the existing part.
